What is koshrit?

Koshrit is a social initiative started by students of NIFFT, Ranchi to arrange free medicines for the unprivileged population of the society.

Why is it named 'Koshrit"?"

The word 'Koshrit' comes from two Hindi words, 'Kosh' and 'Aashrit'. These two words refer to a storage on which needy people can depend for getting medicines for their small ailments.

From where will you get medicines to donate?

Accepted Answer

We will collect medicines from the students of NIFFT. These medicines will be those ones which are left after the illness of a person is cured and which have not crossed their respective expiry dates.

How will you give the collected medicines to the needy?

We have talked with some medical stores and have convinced them to contribute in this initiative. We give the collected medicines to these medical stores. Whenever an ill person comes to buy medicines and the medical store's owner gets to know that the patient is finding it tough to buy medicines, the medical store's owner can give the Koshrit's medicines to him/her.

You can contribute to Koshrit in many different ways such as:
 
1. You, being a student at NIFFT, can donate your medicines that are left after your illness is cured. The medicines must not have crossed their expiry date.
 
2. You, being a student at any other college, can contact us and collaborate with us to take this initiative to heights. It will be huge contribution to the society from your part.
 
3. You, being a civilion, can come to NIFFT if possible, to donate medicines. Moreover, you can donate funds to Koshrit so that we can grow and can help more people with this initiative. 
You can also spread words in your locality so that poor people can know about Koshrit and can get benefitted by this.
